The Rhodopa
The Rhodopa mountain is located in the southern part of Bulgaria. It runs from the Upperthracian lowland to the north across to the White Sea lowland to the south. Most of the mountain's mass is located in Bulgaria, some in Grece. The Rhodopa has a surface area of 147 737 km2 with an average elevation of 785 m. From e morphographic point of view, the mountain has two main portions, dubbed The Western and Eastern Rhodopa, respectively. The western part is generally higher with a typical mountain relief, while the eastern part consists of generally lower hills.
The Rhodopa Park
"The Rhodopa Park" is located in the eastern part of the mountain. It's situated over the territory of both the Kuklen and Rhodopa municipalities. It consists of the areas named "Biala cherkva" /white church/, Studenets, "Zdravets and Koprivkite", which are traditional resting spots for people living in Plovdiv. Their average elevation is 1315 m. After the 80's the resort's development has been discountined. It's renewal has been a fact during the last several years alone.
Environment description
From a geographical standpoint, the hotel is located 30 kilometers south of Plovdiv in the Rhodopa park, at an altitude of 1370 m, among both confiferous and decidous woods fiiled with herbs and fruit native to forest areas. Various types of mushrooms sprout after a rainy period. One can encounter a squirrel, rabbit, fox or deer.
Well designated tourist paths have been created withing the park.
